Easter is a wonderful time to spend with friends and family and take a much-needed break.
Every Easter without fail we will Google the same keyword search. “What’s open in McLaren Vale over Easter?”
Now we run a wine tour business, this research can be classified as work instead of back at our old jobs where we certainly didn’t use company resources to search this during work hours.
Paxton Wines
Paxton Wines is open Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday and has a pop-up wine bar, live music, food trucks and a pet friendly grassed area for everyone to enjoy a picnic.
McLaren Vale Distillery
If whisky is more your style head to McLaren Vale Distillery on Easter Saturday or Easter Sunday for live music and food made by the Happy Little Taco. Mexican inspired flavours that can be washed down with a whisky sour. You can also do a whisky and chocolate pairing. Chocolate is brought in exclusively by Haighs.
Kay Brothers
Kay Brothers takes centre stage on Easter Sunday with The Furball Express’ playing their funky blues on the deck and Rolling Naples Pizza Trailer serving up the tasty delights. With Easter eggs for the kids and live music 11am-4pm this is sure to be an event not to be missed.
Dandelion Vineyards
Dandelion is putting on a special event on Easter Monday inside their Wonder Room. A special Bulgarian Long Lunch. Famous Bulgarian dishes are on the menu such as their lutenitsa and roasted lamb shanks. This is a ticketed event and starts at midday.
